2012 Wild Horse Trout Derby Rules
1. Registration will be held from 8:00 am to 11:00 am each day in the Visitor's Center at Wild Horse State Park. 2. Entry Fee is $10.00 per person per day. This is inexpensive enough for everyone to enter. 3. Prize money will consist of all entry fees with added money available for random draw prizes. a. First Place 50% b. Second Place 30% c. Third Place 20% 4. All winners must show positive ID to collect winnings. 5. Prizes are determined by the LENGTH of the fish. a. DO NOT CLEAN YOUR FISH before measurement b. Any fish suspected of being altered will be disqualified 6. Measurement will begin at 2:00 pm and end exactly at 5:00 pm. a. You must be inside the Visitor's Center by 5:00 pm. b. Visitor Center clock is the official clock. Be safe and give yourself time. c. If you are not present, a check will be mailed first thing Tuesday morning. 7. All TROUT entered must be caught the day of the derby and in Wild Horse Reservoir. 8. Anglers must adhere to all fishing rules and regulations as prescribed by the State of Nevada and enforced by the Nevada Department of Wildlife. 9. Please Adhere to all rules and regulations regarding Wild Horse State Recreation Area, including parking fees and OHV use. 10. In the event of a tie, the weight of the fish will be used to break the tie. 11. We reserve the right to make binding decisions for unforeseen circumstances that may arise but are not addressed by the rules and regulations.
