WILD HORSE TROUT DERBY

Elko Fly Shop is proud to be a sponsor for the 2012 Wild Horse Trout Derby held at Wild Horse Reservoir on Saturday and Sunday, February 18 and 19, Presidents Day Weekend.

The cost is $10 per angler for each day and 100% of the entry fees are paid back in prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. There will also be some prize money allocated for random draw that all contestants are eligible for, so even if you don't catch a whopper, you still might win some money.

The Wildhorse Estates Property Owners will also be selling chorizos, hot dogs, hot and cold drinks as well as bait and some fishing tackle. All of the proceeds will be split between Wild Horse State Recreation Area and the Wildhorse Estates Property Owners for road maintenance. Rules will be posted here shortly so check back soon.
